Larger scale, more booths, stronger attraction… The 134th Canton Fair opened on October 15th at the Guangzhou Canton Fair Exhibition Hall, attracting global buyers to gather here. On the first day of the Canton Fair, over 50000 overseas buyers from over 200 countries and regions around the world attended, a significant increase from the previous session.
It is reported that the total exhibition area of this year’s Canton Fair has expanded to 1.55 million square meters, with a total of 74000 booths and 55 exhibition areas, and 28533 participating enterprises, all reaching a new historical high; The quality continues to improve, and exhibition themes such as new energy vehicles and smart transportation, new materials and chemical products are further expanded; The “circle of friends” continued to expand, with more than 100000 purchasers from 215 countries and regions pre registered, of which the number of pre registered purchasers from countries jointly building the “the Belt and Road” increased by 11.2% year on year.
In addition, this year’s Canton Fair has implemented multiple new changes and measures, allowing more enterprises to participate online and offline simultaneously, negotiate business with global procurement, and explore a broader international market.
This year marks the tenth anniversary of the initiative of jointly building the “the Belt and Road”. In the process of jointly building the “the Belt and Road”, the Canton Fair is an important platform for smooth trade. According to statistics, over the past decade, the number of buyers from countries along the “the Belt and Road” in the Canton Fair increased from 50.4% to 58.1%. At this Canton Fair, the number of buyers from the “the Belt and Road” countries is expected to reach 80000, many of whom are stable customers of domestic exhibitors.
