The 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022, abbreviated as the “2022 Hangzhou Asian Games”, will be held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China. It was originally scheduled to be held from September 10th to 25th, 2022; On July 19, 2022, the Asian Olympic Council announced that the event will be held from September 23 to October 8, 2023, with the name and logo of the event unchanged.
The Hangzhou Asian Games consists of 40 major events and 61 sub events, with a total of 483 sub events set up, including the vast majority of Olympic events as well as sports and cultural characteristics of various Asian regions such as martial arts, rattan ball, cricket, jujitsu, and other sports. It also includes emerging sports favored by young people such as skateboarding, rock climbing, and esports. 40 major competitions include swimming, archery, athletics, badminton, basketball, boxing, kayaking, cycling, equestrian, fencing, football, golf, gymnastics, handball, hockey, judo, modern pentathlon, rowing, seven player rugby, sailing, shooting, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, triathlon, volleyball, weightlifting, wrestling, karate, rock climbing, baseball and softball, as well as 31 Olympic events including martial arts, rattan There are 9 non Olympic events, including jujitsu, jujitsu, cricket, chess, roller skating, cabardi, and squash.
